Kimberly Henderson is an Artist, Genealogist and Art Writer based in Harlem, NYC. She is the Associate Director of a contemporary art gallery in the heart of the Chelsea arts district in New York City; and has contributed to various arts publications including Gallery Gurls , NY-ARTNews and The Art Story, among others.
Henderson is currently enrolled in a hybrid graduate program for her Master’s of Sciences in Library and Information Sciences at Syracuse University, while also continuing work on a personal project entitled, Architecture of Existence: a genealogical research endeavor, bridging generational gaps and tracing her maternal lineage to the “Little Texas” community of the Pleasant Grove Township of Alamance County, NC.
Additionally, she is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), the African American Historical and Genealogical Society (AAHGS), as well as the National Genealogical Society (NGS).
