Kimberly Henderson is an Artist, Genealogist and Art Writer based in Harlem, NYC. She is currently the Associate Director of a contemporary art gallery in the heart of the Chelsea arts district in New York City. She has contributed to various arts publications including Gallery Gurls , NY-ARTNews and The Art Story, among others.
She is currently working on a project entitled, Architecture of Existence: a genealogical research endeavor, bridging generational gaps and tracing her maternal lineage to the “Little Texas” community of the Pleasant Grove Township of Alamance County, NC. An exhibition of her research findings is on the horizon.
Additionally, she is a member of the African American Historical and Genealogical Society (AAHGS), as well as the National Genealogical Society (NGS).
